the show that started it all!

The Original Round Top Antiques Fair invites you to join us in celebrating our 43rd year in Round Top, a history earned through our consistent reputation for unsurpassed quality and unusual, one-of-a-kind antiques. We offer four shows each year: the world renowned Spring and Fall Antiques Fairs, in all four of our venues, and the newer Winter and Summer Antiques Shows, in the Big Red Barn. The Winter and Summer shows have quickly become known for their informal, eclectic atmosphere, yet for maintaining the high standard of antiques offered at the larger Spring and Fall Fairs. When you step through the door in the Big Red Barn, the Big Red Barn Tent, the Continental Tent, or Carmine Dance Hall, you will experience one of the Best Antique Shows in the nation.

Our best-of-the-best exhibitors each year continue to outdo the quality of their booths in previous years. They continually search all over the country, and indeed the world, for those perfect items to show their repeating and new clientele, because they know the quality that is expected from customers of the Original Round Top Antiques Fair. Ranging from inexpensive to museum quality, from small to large, the merchandise will be the best quality there is to offer − which is the reason customers have been known to furnish entire rooms from this one show!

As Barbara Crozier said in the February, 2010, issue of Texas Home and Living, "Certainly the collection of Americana antiques at The Big Red Barn at Round Top is at the heart of the activity of Round Top." Throughout the 30,000 square foot Big Red Barn and the nearby Big Red Barn Tent, you will find an irresistible array of beautifully displayed very early Americana, Texas primitive, and Continental furniture and accessories. While in this area, we suggest a delicious lunch catered by Royer's Cafe, topped off with a slice of their famous pie, to complement your successful experience of finding the exact piece you need for your home or office collection.

The Continental Tent, new in the Fall of 2008, offers high quality items from England, France, Italy, Spain, and other European countries − from country to formal, from small to large. This should be the starting place for lovers of European furniture. Not far from the Big Red Barn, in nearby Carmine, Texas, you’ll find our hidden jewel, the Carmine Dance Hall. The Hall has been a part of the Antiques Fair almost from its beginning, 43 years ago. As one customer said, "Here’s where you will find all the really good stuff!" She was referring to the gorgeous antique silver, glass, crystal, linens, china, and country furniture found here. This is also a great place to enjoy award-winning BBQ for lunch.

With porters available to carry items to the car, shippers on site to handle large items, air-conditioned buildings, and free parking, shoppers can enjoy a memorable experience while finding exactly the right treasures to enhance their homes for years to come. Call for information, if you like, but remember to book your lodging well ahead of the Fall and Spring shows, since lodging fills up from Houston to Austin.
